Spring Break

Ah snow. I don't get to see it that often. Nor do I get to see very much of it when I do. It has always been much of a mystery to me, since I reign from the lower-east United States (Florida, to be exact). Well, that all changed the day spring break started. After a 19 hour drive into the heart of the rocky mountains, my whole perception of snow changed. It snowed two feet- TWO FEET- during the first two days we were there. I have NEVER seen that much snow in my life. Let me just say, thank god it did snow that much, because if it hadn't, I would be seriously injured right now. I went snowboarding for the second time in my life, and man did I fall a lot. But the best part about snow is that it acts like a giant cushion; falling didn't hurt a bit! We went to the ski resort named "Mary Jane", which was suprisingly not busy for the conditions. I had an absolute blast, and I now have a newfound respect for the cold. Next spring break, Colorado here I come!

One main thing that I like about this blog is your writing style. It is in a written in a fashion similar to how you would talk which I like a lot. In addition, like any good writer, you use a lot of description in your blog. However, I would suggest that you maybe write a blog that has a topic that might spark a little bit more of conversation. You are bascially telling your audience about your spring break experience, which doesn't give the audience much to comment back to you on. It is written well, but if you want to start getting more converstaion going on you blog, you need to make a claim and state your oppinion.

I agree that you have a very simplistic writing style which can be very appealing to your audience. THis is an important part of writing. However I think that this blog could be better if you brought up an issue or argument and not just talk about yourself. Maybe you could use your experience to adress an issue that could be used for your paper.

I like your style of writing but this blog in particular did nothing for me. Very much like writing a diary style blog, this post was a personal experience in which you told the audience how you discovered snow. I'm from Illinois, where it snows for months on end, so perhaps I wasn't in the target audience but you have to remember that to cater to a large nubmer of people you should pick a topic that would be interesting to a group of people from all different backgrounds. Also, try to make a connection to either something from class or something in the news. Have an opinion and back it up with evidence in order to have more effective blog posts but keep it up!
